Ashley Sweeney is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner licensed for full independent practice in Arkansas and the founder of Prestige Direct Care & Wellness. With a diverse clinical background spanning urgent care, cardiology, perioperative care, geriatrics, bariatrics, and family medicine, Ashley brings years of medical experience and a genuine passion for helping individuals and families take control of their health.
After years of practicing in traditional healthcare settings, Ashley recognized a growing need for something different: accessible, affordable, personalized healthcare that puts patients first. She witnessed firsthand how the traditional healthcare system often leaves patients facing long waits, rushed appointments, rising costs, and limited opportunities to develop meaningful relationships with their healthcare providers.
As a healthcare provider and a member of the local community, Ashley wanted to offer her hometown a better option.
That vision led to the expansion of Prestige Direct Care & Wellness to include Direct Primary Care (DPC), an innovative approach to family medicine that eliminates many of the barriers associated with traditional insurance-based healthcare.
Bringing Healthcare Back to Its Roots
Ashley believes quality healthcare should not be complicated, impersonal, or financially out of reach.
Through Direct Primary Care, Prestige Direct Care & Wellness offers individuals and families access to primary care through an affordable membership model. Rather than billing insurance for routine primary care services, patients pay a predictable membership fee that allows for more personalized attention, convenient access to their provider, and a greater emphasis on prevention and long-term wellness.
This approach allows Ashley to spend more time listening to her patients, understanding their concerns, and developing individualized treatment plans without the pressure of rushing through appointments.
Her goal is simple: bring back the personal relationship between patients and their healthcare provider while making quality medical care more accessible to the families and hardworking individuals in her community.
Understanding that not everyone needs or wants a membership, Prestige Direct Care & Wellness also offers cash-pay sick visits and other services to nonmembers. Ashley believes patients should have options when it comes to their healthcare, whether they are uninsured, have high-deductible insurance, or simply prefer the transparency and convenience of paying directly for their care.
A Personal Passion for Weight Management and Preventative Health
Ashley's passion for preventative medicine extends far beyond her professional training. Her dedication to weight management, metabolic health, and hormone optimization is deeply personal.
Having struggled with obesity herself, Ashley underwent vertical sleeve gastrectomy in 2018, ultimately losing more than 150 pounds and successfully maintaining her weight loss, even after welcoming another child. Her experience gave her a perspective that cannot be learned from medical textbooks alone.
Ashley understands the physical, emotional, and psychological challenges associated with obesity, food addiction, and maintaining long-term lifestyle changes. She also understands the frustration of repeated attempts at weight loss and the misconception that achieving a healthier weight is simply a matter of willpower.
Having cared for countless patients whose chronic health conditions were complicated by obesity and preventable risk factors, Ashley became increasingly passionate about helping patients address these concerns before they develop into more serious health problems.
Today, she combines her personal experience with evidence-based medical care to help patients pursue sustainable improvements in weight, metabolic health, hormonal wellness, and overall quality of life.

Prestige Direct Care & Wellness was built on the belief that small communities deserve the same quality of healthcare, personalized attention, and medical options available in larger cities.
Ashley is proud to serve Vilonia and the surrounding communities by offering a local alternative to traditional primary care, along with specialized wellness services that patients might otherwise have to travel elsewhere to receive.
From routine primary care and acute sick visits to weight management, hormone replacement therapy, preventative health services, and wellness treatments, her goal is to provide comprehensive, convenient care that meets patients where they are.
Above all, Ashley wants her patients to feel heard, respected, informed, and empowered to make decisions about their own health.
In Ashley's Own Words
"After years of working in healthcare, I realized that something important was missing. Patients need more than prescriptions, referrals, and a few minutes in an exam room. They need someone who will listen, take their concerns seriously, and help them understand their health. When I decided to open my own practice, my initial focus was weight management and hormone optimization because those are areas I am extremely passionate about, both personally and professionally. But I also knew there was a much bigger need in our community. I wanted to give the people in my hometown another choice. Whether someone has insurance, doesn't have insurance, or simply cannot afford to spend hundreds of dollars (or several hours waiting) every time they need to see a medical provider, they deserve access to quality healthcare.
Direct Primary Care allows me to practice medicine the way I believe it should be practiced: with time to listen, an emphasis on prevention, and a genuine relationship between the patient and provider.
My own weight-loss journey has also shaped the way I care for patients. My husband and I have both struggled with obesity and both experienced success after bariatric surgery. But even after losing more than 150 pounds, I can tell you that maintaining that success is still a daily commitment. Medications, surgery, and exercise programs are valuable tools, but they aren't magic solutions. Lasting results require understanding your habits, your relationship with food, your health, and the challenges that brought you to where you are. I know what it's like to struggle, to fail, and to start over. That experience helps me meet my patients with understanding, practical guidance, and realistic expectations.
My goal isn't just to help people lose weight or treat an illness. I want to help them build healthier lives, prevent problems before they start, and have a medical provider they know they can turn to.
This is my community. These are my neighbors, friends, teachers, first responders, and local families. I want Prestige Direct Care & Wellness to be a place where they can receive excellent care, know exactly what they're paying for, and feel confident that their health matters."
